On the road to Zion

This new vegan diet has definitely been a good decision and I feel healthier for it but I have learned a lot in the last two weeks. Not only is what I eat important, but when and how much I eat is also, obviously enough, important too.

I carb-load when I smoke week, which isn’t so bad now that I am vegan and I eat lots of fruit and vitamin rich veg, but it’s unhealthy to do habitually.

So, I need to keep an eye on that.

I also need to ween myself off the honey. It’s the refined sugars I sometimes crave, but I don’t really need them. I just think I do. I don’t miss sweet foods like chocolate and pastries at all so I know I could learn to not miss honey too. Anyway, in the abundance that I consume it, sometimes, it is not really good for me.

All you need is love fructose :)

So I’ve stuck to this vegan diet for one week now and I feel really good. I haven’t felt deprived of food or fatigued at all yet, except at the tail end of the 2 day fast I did during the week.

Going out to dinner now to a restaurant which is meant to cater well for veggies so hopefully I will enjoy it.

Got some spicy new shirts during the week also so sprucing up to the sound of reggae reggae music will have a bit of extra spice…
